Creola Wiggins, a resident at Life Care Center of Pensacola, Florida, recently decided to share her generous heart with kids in the Pensacola community.
Wiggins donated $500 of her personal money to several charities: Gulf Coast Kid’s House; the local Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter; Child Guardians, Inc.; Autism Pensacola, Inc.; and Miracle League of Pensacola. She donated $100 to each one.
“I had the money available and wanted to help these people,” Wiggins said simply.
“Since she is a long-term resident, her monthly income is very limited,” Jennifer Landis, executive director, said. “I was so touched by her generosity and humbleness and so proud of her decision.”
Representatives of the Gulf Coast Kid’s House came to visit with Wiggins to personally tell her thank you and brought her a basket of goodies.
“Kids are important,” said Wiggins. “We have kids who come here, and they are so good to me, so I wanted to help. I lost both my daughters, so this made me happy.”
